Glenn A. Arbeitman is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Real Estate Finance Group and Hotels and Hospitality Practice Group. Mr. Arbeitman’s practice focuses on all areas of commercial real estate law in his representation of private equity funds, REITs, lenders and nationally recognized builders and investors. Mr. Arbeitman’s transactional experience spans the range of transaction types including acquisitions, dispositions of office, multifamily, retail and hospitality properties, senior mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, loan modifications, workouts, restructurings, recapitalizations and joint ventures.
Mr. Arbeitman spent a number of years in investment management managing private equity style funds which invested in the debt and equity securities of private and public companies. Such experience lends itself to a better understanding of clients’ investment criteria and business goals as well as an increased sensitivity to potential opportunities for clients. Since joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Arbeitman has been an origination source of numerous debt and equity opportunities for clients resulting in closed transactions having a total value of approximately $4 billion.
Examples of recent real estate transactions handled by Mr. Arbeitman include the representation of clients in connection with:

Numerous single-property and multi-property, multi-state first mortgage loan originations across the United States with a focus on hospitality and multifamily financings;

Complex mezzanine financings;

Acquisitions and dispositions of large national portfolios of manufactured housing communities including related financings and joint ventures;

Acquisition of interests in a national hospitality management company; and
-
Acquisitions of major portfolios of limited partnership interests in private equity funds.
Mr. Arbeitman began his career with the New York law firm of Robinson Silverman Pearce Aronsohn & Berman LLP (now Bryan Cave LLP) where he specialized in commercial real estate law having represented a broad range of domestic and international real estate investors and developers, REITs and lenders including having acted as the firm’s lead senior associate managing its securitization transactions on behalf of originating lender clients.
