Maria Aksentyan is the Chief Technology Officer at Duval & Stachenfeld LLP and a non-lawyer member of the Firm’s Real Estate Cybersecurity Practice Group.
Maria joined the firm in 2013 and, over the period of five years, leveraged her extensive industry experience to manage IT infrastructure and staff, develop and implement cybersecurity policies, negotiate vendor contracts, and control the Firm’s IT budget.
Maria is widely respected for her impeccable judgement, technical skills, and efficient execution of all matters related to information technology.
She has particular expertise in identifying, managing and adapting to emerging cybersecurity threats, developing robust cyber defenses and mitigating hacking and intrusion risks. Maria advises on the implementation of strong security policies, multilevel education programs, and compliance matters.
Prior to joining Duval & Stachenfeld LLP, Maria was a partner and a Managing Director of IT Services at tmg-emedia, Inc. for more than 14 years providing technology services to many government, law, publishing, and financial services companies.
Maria graduated cum laude from Pace University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. She also holds Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Moscow University.
