Maureen Hannon joined the Firm in February 2013 and is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group, the Leasing Practice Group, and the Real Estate Finance Practice Group.
Ms. Hannon practices in the area of commercial real estate transactions with particular emphasis on domestic and international acquisitions and sales, real estate finance and hospitality. She has represented mortgage REIT's, banks, life insurance companies and financial institutions in a wide variety of commercial real estate finance transactions, including construction financing and mortgage and mezzanine loans (both securitized and unsecuritized). She has also represented owners and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, financing, development, leasing and sale.
Ms. Hannon also has extensive experience negotiating construction agreements on behalf of owners, both renovation and ground-up construction, and tenants for build-outs. Additionally, Ms. Hannon has reviewed construction agreements for lenders making construction loans as well.
Examples of recent real estate transactions include construction mortgage loan financings of ground-up construction in New York City; the acquisition, financing and development of a resort property in Puerto Rico, including negotiation of a hotel management agreement; the restructuring of a group of mortgage loans encumbering international office and hospitality properties; and the acquisition of more than $1 Billion of distressed debt portfolios.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Hannon was special counsel in the Real Estate Group of Cooley LLP.
Ms. Hannon received a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1988 and a B.S in Psychology from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, New Jersey.
Ms. Hannon is admitted to practice in New York.
