Joshua C. Klein
Joshua C. Klein is a member of the Firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group. Mr. Klein represents corporations and individuals in complex disputes involving a wide range of corporate, commercial and securities matters. He regularly appears before federal and state courts across the country and has also arbitrated extensively before the predominant arbitral bodies, including the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Mr. Klein has represented a broad spectrum of clients, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in cases involving claims for breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, antitrust issues and violations of civil RICO, among others. His practice also includes the representation of entities and individuals in investigations and proceedings brought by various government enforcement agencies and regulators.
Recently, Mr. Klein achieved a complete defense verdict on behalf of a global investment bank and one of its former registered representatives involving fraud in the sale and valuation of complex structured products. Mr. Klein also successfully represented an investment bank in multiple litigations against residential mortgage loan originators for early payment default and breach of representations and warranty claims and obtained judgments totaling more than $40 million.
Mr. Klein is admitted to practice in New York, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
